Jenny Parker McCloskey works in public relations because she loves news.  A veteran of top tier news organizations including ABC News, New York magazine and Fortune, Jenny founded Queen Bee Communications in order to do exactly what she loves most: find that win-win moment that helps reporters do their job and organizations engage their audiences.

Jenny got her start in 1996 as the assistant to George Stephanopoulos, working on all aspects of his transition from the White House to ABC News, including the research and launch of his New York Times bestselling memoir All Too Human. She went on to manage publicity for ABC News, including Barbara Walters’ headlining “20/20″ interviews and Peter Jennings’ primetime special reports for “Peter Jennings Reporting.”

When Jenny left ABC News to build the first in-house publicity department for New York magazine, Barbara Walters wrote, “tell your new bosses that I said they are lucky to have you.”

As the head of Queen Bee communications, Jenny uses her insider experience to win coverage for clients through breaking news, interviews, profile stories, op-ed placements and newsworthy, audience-targeted events and programming.   To help demystify and elevate the practice of public relations, she regularly blogs  www.pragamaticpublicist.com.

Jenny is a graduate of Purchase College and holds a master’s degree in political science from the Graduate Faculty of the New School University.
